Clemson All-American and Houston Astros first-round pick and outfielder Seth Beer was promoted from short-season A-ball to the Class-A Quad Cities River Bandits (Davenport, Iowa) on Wednesday after just 11 games.

"Cheers to you, Beer! The New York-Penn League leader in home runs has been promoted to the @QCRiverBandits. Best of luck to you @beer_seth and thank you for everything you brought to the ValleyCats this season!" the Troy, New York-based Tri-City ValleyCats announced Wednesday on Twitter.

Beer powered four home runs with seven RBIs in 41 at-bats, hitting .293 with a .659 slugging percentage and a .431 on-base percentage.

Beer's first professional hit was a home run in his debut a few weeks ago.
