This is not good news for the Eagles.

Boston College head coach Steve Addazio announced that starting senior middle linebacker Conner Strachan is out indefinitely with a knee injury.

The injury is a huge blow to an already thin group of linebackers as Strachan was one of the emotional leaders of the team as he led the Eagles with 80 tackles last season to go along with 11 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks.

Running back Davon Jones has moved to linebacker this week to help with depth.

It could get ugly for Boston College against Clemson on Saturday afternoon as the Eagles gave up a robust 515 rushing yards against Notre Dame last Saturday which was the second-highest rushing yards allowed in the nation this season.

Vegas currently has Clemson as a massive 34.5 point favorite over the injury-plagued Eagles.
