The Bulldogs head into the NCAA tournament hitting .296 as team. They are led by first baseman Elliott Arrington and left fielder Rob Vernon. Arrington and Vernon are both hitting .349 on the season. Arrington has a team high 46 RBIs on the season and a team high 23 doubles. Kevin Mattison leads the Bulldogs with 8 home runs.


The Bulldogs pitching staff has a team ERA of 5.91. Reliever Jordan Dorsett has a team low ERA 2.25 in 18 appearances. The probable starter against Clemson is Alan DeRatt. The upset minded Bulldogs will come in off of their dramatic run through the Big South tourney. Vernon was the tournament MVP after hitting a grand slam to put the Bulldogs ahead against Liberty. This team is riding high on emotion and will likely perform at higher level than their record indicates.
