- Coming off the scrimmage, Coach Bowden said the battle between Sergio Gilliam and Chris Clemons will likely not be decided until next Thursday or Friday. Also, the battle at offensive guard continues to heat up. Roman Fry, Brandon Pilgrim, Chip Myrick, and Nathan Bennett are working for the two starting spots.

- Chansi Stuckey is slated as the punt returner. Stuckey, Duane Coleman, and CJ Gaddis are working on kickoff returns.

- Nic Riddle has nailed down the long snapper spot. Cole Chason and Jad Dean are solid, but Coach Bowden stated he confidence in Stephen Furr as well. Tyler Grisham could be the starting holder. Coach Bowden said Grisham gives the more opportunities to run fakes in the kicking game.

- Coach Bowden is still awaiting Cory Groover to step up his play. He praised Trey Tate for his effort. Dorrell Scott missed the second session of practice as he is handling a personal matter with his family.

- The Tigers will officially begin preparations for Texas A&M on Thursday. However, Coach Bowden said they have put in a lot of the offensive gameplan already for Texas A&M.

- The Tigers will hold their final scrimmage tomorrow night from 7:15-9:30 pm (closed). "I have to get some of those younger guys a chance to make some catches under the ilghts," said Bowden. Coach Bowden said offensively he is looking for no turnovers and no dropped passes. Two factors that hurt the Tigers versus Texas A&M last season. Defensively, there has to be a drop off in missed assignments and missed tackles. The defense has had too many missed assignments through the first two scrimmages. Coach Bowden also wants to see the defense generate more pressure with a four man rush.
