McKissic Ready To Make An Impact

by - Correspondent -

Jacquez McKissic is now officially a Clemson Tiger. After an extended wait, McKissic could not be more relieved. However, he says it should have actually came earlier.

"I had to take my test twice. The first time it said I need two points, so I took my test again. When I got my papers back from the second test, it actually showed I had made it the first time. I called Adrian (Kindred), and he told me to call Coach Swinney. Coach Swinney told me to fax the papers over, and then he called me back and said everything was good to go."

McKissic says he will be involved in the Tigers bowl preparation. The staff has not decided yet where they will place McKissic on the defensive line.

"They haven't discussed with me whether I will be at tackle or end. I like end, but I don't care. I just want to play. Wherever I play best in the spring is where I will end up at. It also doesn't matter to me what bowl we go to. I am just looking forward to the opportunity to go."

McKissic will join Opelika teammate Adrian Kindred when he reports to Clemson. McKissic will keep with several good young defensive lineman starting in the spring, but it is not expected for him to redshirt next season.
