Question-What do the players and coaches think about the new field turf? Will Death Valley ever have field turf? JJ

Answer-I have not talked to them about Clemson's new field turf but I spoke with many players and coaches after the Peach Bowl. To a man they all loved it. The players say they cut and accelerate well off it it and they talked about how much faster they felt. I think the technology continues to make advances and field turf would be considered in Death Valley in the coming seasons.

Question-How has the weather (Bonnie and Charley) affected practices at Clemson and across the South? Thomas

Answer-The weather forced Clemson to move its scrimmage from Thursday to Saturday and it forced the Tigers inside the indoor track facility briefly Thursday. Saturday's weather may also be a problem. Bonnie also forced FSU, USC, Georgia and several others inside on Thursday also. Charley's full effect will not be known until it runs its course.

Question-Does Clemson have a change at Fred Rouse? Andrew
Answer-The Tigers made the early cut and he says he has always followed Clemson. However, it will be difficult to beat the national powers for a player like this.
