Question-Should we cancel our season because of the injuries from practice yesterday? TW

Answer-Absolutely. The Tigers will go 0-11 now. So will Georgia, Kentucky and FSU because they had big injuries so far in practice. North Texas' quarterback was killed in a car wreck. That puts things in perspective. I think the Coleman injury really hurts. He is so good coming out of the backfield catching the football. He has also improved his blocking. I feel terrible for him because I know how competitive he is. Kelly and Merriweather will battle now for the majority of the snaps but I keep saying that I love Kyle Browning. He may be the new third down back. I still don't know the extent of Jamison's injury and am waiting to hear how long he is out. We wrote an article about Walker's season-ending injury for the site yesterday. I do think that is big. Also, I have always liked Michael Collins. He was having a great spring and summer and I thought was ready to do some big things. However let me end by saying this---This is why recruiting is so important. You have to have depth. Injuries happen in football and you have to have major depth to be able to withstand them.

Question-I haven't heard a lot about the place-kickers. Who is this walk-on? Mike

Answer-His name is Mark Buscholz. He is a soccer signee who Trevor Adair signed in the spring. He is from the Atlanta area and attended the same high school as Charlie Whitehurst. Buscholz is a big kicker (6-0, 205) with a powerful leg. Bowden said yesterday that he will practice with both teams when soccer practice starts today. Bowden was complimentary of all of his kickers.

Question-What are you hearing on Jamie Robinson? Larry

Answer-He had a meeting with C.J. Byrd in a scrimmage over the weekend but neither player saw a lot of one-on-one matchups throughout the scrimmage. Robinson is one of the top ten prospects in the state. He had a great camp at FSU this summer. I think it will be an FSU-Clemson battle. Both have offered. Some coaches think he is a corner but others think he will be a safety. He should go close to signing day and again look for a Seminole-Tiger war.
