What is going on with Quintin Richardson?
Richardson is still in the process of making of his decision. We have talked to him only on a couple of occasions. There is no sense in calling a prospect 2-3 times a week in March. He could make a visit to Clemson this weekend. If he makes the trip to Clemson, we will speak with him no later than Monday. Clemson, Tennessee, and South Carolina are all in the mix. It is too early to make a call on where or when he will commit. He will most likely be an early commit, but he could be an early commit that the school of his choice has to work to hold on.
How has Cory Lambert performed this spring?
Lambert has looked strong. He could be the backup at both tackle positions, if no one else steps up. Lambert is going to be a very good player, and four years ago, he would already be a starter. Now, there has been a significant upgrade in talent on the offensive line. Barry Richardson and Marion Dukes are both very good tackles. Lambert will log significant snaps, and he could step right in, if there was an injury.
Saw Quentez Ruffin was down to 256, what happened?
Ruffin was overweight, when he stepped on campus. He was put on a diet, and now he needs to regain some of his weight back. Ruffin has to become more focused. He still has a chance to contribute, but he needs to become a little more coachable, and adhere to the advice he is given.
Do you think Purnell is close to signing a McDonald's All-American?
They are getting close. This year they were in the top five with Kevin Durant and Daquan Cook. You have to make progression. They are getting involved with some players, who would have never considered Clemson before. You get your foot in the door, you lose a couple, and then one player finds the perfect fit at Clemson and gives you a big lift. We have seen the progression in football. Clemson does not get CJ Spiller without James Davis in my opinion.
