Would you have fouled at the end of regulation?

My initial reaction was that you cannot allow that to happen two home games in a row. However, after listening to Coach Purnell, they did the right thing. I want to know that a head coach will stick by what he believes in, and Purnell did that. More times than not more bad things will happen, when a head coach does not believe in his instincts. Plus, Virginia Tech was missing a lot of free throws long, which was a big reason why Clemson did not foul.

Long rebounds off of missed free throws favor the team that is shooting. If they made the first, then missed the second, it would have likely been a long rebound and given Virginia Tech a chance to win in regulation.

Who will be the biggest surprise this spring?

From what we are hearing, Chris Russell could make a lot of noise this spring. He is going to battle Chris Clemons for playing time at free safety. We do not believe he will overtake Clemons, but this battle could be very close at the end of spring.

When we will know something on Clifton Geathers and Julius Wilkerson?

With Geathers, nobody knows. If someone is saying they know what Geathers is doing, I am not sure I would trust them.

There should be a decision made on Wilkerson shortly after spring practice.

Does hiring Napier give Clemson a championship quality staff?

It is definitely a move right in the direction. Billy Napier is a big upgrade for the staff. To be honest, Jack Hines was just not productive in seven seasons. Napier gives Clemson a needed boost in recruiting. He will make strides in south Georgia, a territory where Clemson has been non-existent.
