What happen to the basketball team against Miami?

It all comes down to match-ups. Miami has by far the best backcourt in the ACC. They are playing really well, and you combine that with a Duke hangover, and it was a recipe for disaster. I fully expect Clemson to defeat Georgia Tech on Saturday. Georgia Tech does not have sufficient guard play, and Clemson will crank up the press just like they did against Wake Forest. It is never easy to win on the road, but Saturday is a favorable match-up for Clemson.

Any chance for a commitment this weekend?

Last weekend, I felt pretty confident Jamal Medlin would commit to Clemson, and he did. This weekend I do not believe Clemson will receive a verbal commitment. If Clemson absolutely blows away Craig Stevens, then it might be possible, but that visit would have to go amazingly well for that to happen. Rodney Prince will make a decision on Monday or Tuesday most likely. Right now, I anticipate Prince will stick with his verbal commitment to Mississippi State.

Any update on Spiller?

He will visit Miami, but not much will change on his status on that visit. Tommy Bowden is going in Spiller’s home Sunday evening, and we will try and touch base with Spiller then.

What is going to happen with Julius Wilkerson?

Wilkerson is still working on his test scores. He may or may not be in this weekend. We have him listed as an official visitor, but he is not confirmed. Demetrius Culpepper is also a possibility this weekend. The staff was going to make one last check on Culpepper’s scores, and it was possible they would bring him in.

Right now, who plays next year as a freshman?

Jacoby Ford, Jeffrey Ogren, Jamie Cumbie, Ricky Sapp, and DeAndre McDaniel
