Willy Korn and Xavier Dye were two of Clemson’s first verbal commitments for the class of 2007. Korn is very highly touted from perennial state power Byrnes High School. Dye has been the top receiving target at Greenwood High School, another state powerhouse, since his sophomore season.

The two Palmetto State standouts have one more season of high school before they join forces at Clemson. The two worked out together at the Clemson Nike Camp last weekend.

It was only a short connection last weekend. The two players had hoped to spend their senior seasons together, but it was not able to be worked out.

When the players committed to Clemson, it was looked at as the future of Clemson’s passing game. Korn is perhaps the best high school quarterback to ever play in South Carolina, while Dye gives him the big physical target Clemson has missed since Kevin Youngblood graduated.

The two enjoyed working together last weekend, but they many more days together ahead of them on the Jervey Practice fields.
