North Augusta WR CJ Byrd went head to head with the top DB in South Carolina, Jamie Robinson, on Tuesday in a scrimmage versus Northwestern. Robinson's Northwestern squad defeated Byrd and North Augusta.

Robinson had two pass breakups while guarding Byrd. Byrd scored on a 52 yard touchdown reception. Northwestern scored two touchdowns, while Byrd had the lone touchdown for the North Augusta front line.

Both of these players are nationally coveted. They will not meet again during the regular season, however these two are almost deadlocks to represent South Carolina in the Shrine Bowl in Spartanburg on December 18.
