Erase The Memories

As we are now less than 24 hours away from Signing Day, I am sure some Tiger fans woke up this morning still cursing Mike McIntosh from last year. For those of you who did not, I apologize for reminding you. With bitter memories from last year, a common question has been who could possibly do it to us this year.

The name that most often gets put in the category is Quentez Ruffin, despite the fact that Ruffin has a Tiger tattoo on his arm. Ruffin has reaffirmed his commitment on several occasions, and he will sign with the Tigers tomorrow morning. Just a side note on Ruffin, he called me last night to see if I thought anyone else was going to jump on board.

James Davis is the headliner on offense is naturally is drawing some concerns. However, after making an unofficial visit on Sunday with the Tigers, it appears he is very firm to the Tigers. Also, I could not dream of him backing out on his relationship with running backs coach Burton Burns.

One thing that all Tiger fans should feel confident this year is the high character of all 24 commitments. The character of this class throughout their recruitment will be something that sticks out to me for years to come. Fans have every right to be excited about and be proud of this class. I have no kids of my own, but in the future I hope I do as well as this year's parents have done.

While there are no guarantees until tomorrow, I encourage Tiger fans to rest easy and get ready for an exciting day. Please keep in mind, the staff has chance to sign all three remaining prospects, but may not get any of the three. Either way, the staff has done everything they can do, and they should be praised for what is already a great class.
