How many more commitments do you expect to see this summer?

Most likely 2 or 3, but the status is subject to change daily. There are 3 or 4 prospects that have Clemson in their top two, and we believe they will make a decision during the summer. Say if Kenrick Johnson commits to Clemson, I believe Xavier Harris would follow suit to ensure he still had his spot at Clemson. Sometimes when a school begins to fill up at a position, you can see a small domino effect in the commitments. Here are a few players we expect summer decisions from: Brent Schaeffer, Bani Gbadyu, Kenrick Johnson, Garrett Anderson, and Jacques Crawford.

Any news on voluntary workouts?

I spoke with a few players late Monday evening, while I was in line to pick up NCAA 2006. They said the offense is looking really good, but they would like to see more effort from both lines. Chansi Stuckey has been very impressive in workouts, and the early returns on James Davis have been very positive.

Is Will Korn going to commit to Clemson?

I spoke with a friend of Korn tonight, and he said it is simply a matter of time. It was told to me that Korn was simply waiting on Coach Bowden to be back from vacation. Korn's commitment could slightly alter how aggressive the staff pursues some quarterback targets in 2006. This will be a very big deal for Clemson. Korn will be one of the nation's top signal callers for 2007.

How does Coleman's return effect James Davis?

Barring injury there is no way Davis redshirts. Coleman is a veteran back, who will compete with Davis for the backup role. The one track record where Bowden has reinstated a player states that Coleman will have to work his way up from the bottom. Coleman needs to return with same fire he had two years ago and become a leader on this offense. Coleman has the best hands of any back on the team, but he has to rededicate himself to the program. A player like Kyle Browning cannot be forgotten. Browning goes out there and works hard everyday. This a talented stable of running backs and Coleman only adds depth.
