We have been on the phone with high school coaches and prospects today and have uncovered some in-home and in-school visits by the Clemson staff for this week.

Ron West had surgery for a hernia he sustained breaking up the fight in the USC-Clemson game. Billy Nappier is on the road and will visit some of West’s prospects. Other Clemson staff members will also visit West’s prospects until he returns from the surgery when the coaches go back on the road after the dead period.

On Wednesday, David Blackwell is scheduled to see Antonio Clay according to Clay.

Blackwell and Burton Burns are set to see Chris and Demerick Chancellor in Miami on Thursday according to Demerick. Burns will also have a busy day Wednesday when he will visit Mark Paschall and then head to Virginia to see the four Fork Union prospects.

Nappier will go to Kentucky to see James McKinney before heading to visit Antwon Murchinson later in the week according to both prospects.

Clemson head coach Tommy Bowden is back on the road this week. Last week he had in-homes with Barry Humphries and Corey Lambert. On Monday he saw several prospects in Alabama with Dabo Swinney. On Tuesday, Bowden and Burns visited James Davis.

The coaches have been in Spartanburg for the Shrine Bowl practice Monday and Tuesday and will return to Spartanburg Friday for the Shrine Bowl banquet.
