According to a media source in Arizona, Clemson linebacker coach David Blackwell has been contacted by a third party to inquire about his interest in the defensive coordinator position at Arizona State University.

TigerSource contacted Blackwell Tuesday afternoon to confirm this story. “I really feel it is best for coaches to not make public comments about potential openings,” said Blackwell. “I have a great job and there are all kinds of rumors this time of year but it is not professional to comment about other jobs.”

While Blackwell did not want to go on the record about the situation he did agree to come on “The Overdrive” today at 4:15 PM. You can hear the interview live on WCCP 104.9 FM or via the internet at www.wccpfm.com.
