Clemson got the good news yesterday that the Tigers finished 15th in the final coaches and AP polls this season. This marks the third straight season the Tigers have finished in the top 15 in both final polls.

The Tigers finished seventh in the coaches poll and eighth in the AP poll last season. In 2012, Clemson finished ninth in the coaches poll and 11th in the AP poll.

After Monday's national title game, several national outlets came out with their early pre-season polls for 2015. As I expected, Clemson has gained the respect of the national media. The Tigers were ranked as high as second in the country in the Chicago Tribune's early poll. Here is a look at several of the early polls for next season:

Las Vegas Super Book has Ohio State as a 9/2 favorite for the title next season. TCU is at 7/2. Alabama is 8/1. Southern Cal, Baylor and Oklahoma are 12/1. Oregon Michigan State and Clemson are 20/1. bovado.com has Clemson tied for the 14th best chance at the national title at 33/1 odds.
