Mickey,

I am very concerned about the offensive line this season. We have to keep Watson healthy. What do you think the line will be like this season? How big of a liability will it be?

Samantha

Samantha,

I think you have every right to be concerned but at some point I think this line will be OK. Losing Isaiah BattleIsaiah Battle

was a big blow. He was talented and experienced but obviously lacked discipline. I wonder how effective Jay Gulliermo will be if he makes it back. Tyrone CrowderTyrone Crowder

has been a mystery. Throw in the mix the fact that a true freshman will start at left tackle and everyone has to be concerned. But I do think this unit has talent. Mitch HyattMitch Hyatt

can develop into a superstar. Crowder will be a very good one as well. Experience is more of a concern than talent but both are important on the offensive line.

Mickey,

I asked about the rock a while back and was just wondering if you had heard anything about any new security measures. I saw a pic on twitter and it just looked like the same old case . Will the third time be a charm and it's gone forever? Does the admin give a hoot what happens to it ? It's the one thing u can ask anyone in the country about Clemson football besides the paw and they know . It's history and tradition . I feel like we're taking to many chances with it . Can you help ? Thanks

James

James,

I have not talked to anyone that knows any specifics about the security. I am like you in that I feel they have to have plans in place but I don't have a source that has revealed anything new. Sorry. Will pass it along when I do fidn out.

and do you think he can start from Day 1 at Clemson?

Thanks.

Fred

Fred,

South Carolina thought Fields was their best commitment last year before he switched to Clemson. I really like Fields. He has elite speed but is not just a speed guy. He is big enough and strong enough to compete right away. He also plays a position where true freshmen can come in and play right away. I think he can start this season at some point but I don't know when. One advantage he has is the staff has not been completely satisfied with the guys he will be competing against.
