The ACC needs to change the format of the baseball tournament. The two pool system is fine. However, they need to go to a double elimination instead of this goofy best record in pool play. Two of the three games played on Saturday had no impact on determining the champion of tournament. The Clemson / North Carolina game had no influence on the championship. These "dead" games are nice baseball, but that is all they are. Every game played in the tournament should and must determine whether you advance towards the championship game. It probably crossed North Carolina State's mind to forfeit the game with Virginia so they could get ready to play FSU.

I totally agree. It should be changed immediately and everyone knows it. I have yet to talk to anyone that thinks its a good idea.

What does the depth chart look like on the offensive line? How does Jay Guerillmo affect the depth chart if he returns? Thanks.

Jamie,

I hear Guerillmo wants to come back and that is his plan at this point. If he came back I am not sure what kind of shape he would be in. If he was physically and mentally able to play then he would be in the mix for the starting center spot but most likely a backup. Falcinelli played some center in the spring but could play other positions if Guerillmo comes back.

With him I think the depth chart could look like this entering fall camp:

RT-Gore Sr, Fruhmorgen Fr

LG-Crowder So, Morris So, Green Fr

Which true freshmen do you think play this fall. Thanks in advance. Go Tigers.

Jan,

I would guess one of the freshmen quarterbacks may play. Cain and McCloud will play. Hyatt and Fruhmorgen will play. I think two or three defensive ends will play. I wouldn't be surprised if Bryant, Ferrell and Huggins avoided a red-shirt. Wilkins will play at defensive tackle. I think both Fields and Van Smith plays in the secondary.
