Mickey,

I wasn't surprised to see Tajh's draft stock slide, were you? I think he would have gone in the 7th round if it wasn't for Clemson's friendly relationship with the Jets. I saw a quote where Tajh was obviously frustrated with his slide and he said if you put him on the field against the other QB's he would win every time. I don't think that would be the case. He was comparing Clemson's team to other college teams (like LSU and their QB, And UGA and their QB). He was saying Clemson beat LSU/UGA so we are better and he should have been drafted before Mettenberger. But that's not how the draft works, you don't draft teams, you draft individuals. Playing in the Morris system definitely helped bolster his numbers and his supporting cast definitely made him look better. I just never saw Tajh as an elite QB, He is definitely a GOOD QB, just not a high round pick. Wanted to get your thoughts.

Tyler

Tyler,

I don't agree with everything you said. The New York Jets and their staff are not in the business of using the NFL draft as a charity. They have had quarterback issues for years and are still looking to fix their situation. Their scouting department is not into providing charity. I didn't see Mettenberger and Murray drafted that high either. The same can be said about A.J. McCarren. Tajh has confidence and should. He should think he can compete at this level. Morris' system did help but Mettenberger benefitted from Cam Cameron's system. I never thought Tajh was going to be a high round pick and doubt most Clemson fans felt that. He was the most productive quarterback in school history and will go down as a Hall of Famer at Clemson. I would say he is better than GOOD.

Mickey,

The loss to Notre Dame on Sunday should be the nail in the coffin for Jack LeggettJack Leggett

. However, I suspect the university will find a way to keep him.

Clemson Baseball fans deserve better than what we have gotten. Leggett clearly is not doing the job. Losing the weekend series to a team with a terrible record should be the straw that breaks the camel's back or so one might think. I appreciate what Leggett did at Clemson but he is no longer getting the results we should expect. It is time to start a new era in Clemson Baseball.

Kindest Regards,

Kirk

Kirk,

Like you, I was disappointed with the series at Notre Dame. Clemson should not lose a series against Notre Dame. I think the administration is waiting until the end of the season to evaluate the program. I am not sure what will happen because the end of the season is still part of the evaluation process.

Mickey,

I will make an admission that baseball is not my first, second or even third love, but if there was ever any doubt this year that a change in baseball coach is 100% necessary it was erased with the pathetic series at Notre Dame.   Under no set of circumstances should a team that gets drilled twice by a team as bad as Notre Dame make the NCAA Tournament and that is a sad state of affairs for Clemson.  Give Jack a job with the school, name something for him but the time is now for a change.

Andy

Andy,

I was very disappointed in the Tigers in South Bend also. I think this has been a very disappointing season. The hard part is that I had very high expectations for this season and this team has not lived up to that expectation. As far as what happens in the future, I have no idea what will happen and what the administration is thinking. I don't think we will know if any changes will be made until a couple of weeks after the season.
