Lucas Glover Makes Cut at 2010 Masters

by -

Clemson, SC—Former Clemson All-American Lucas Glover shot a second round 71 on Friday and made the cut at the Masters Golf Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, GA. Glover stands in 40th place after two rounds with a score of three over par 147 after rounds of 76-71.

It is the second time Glover has made the cut in three Masters appearances. He finished 20th at the 2007 Masters when he had a 72-hole score of 298.

Overall, Glover has now made the cut in eight of his 15 appearances in Major Championships. That includes last year when he won the United States Open and finished fifth at the PGA Championship. With eight made cuts at major championships, Glover is now the all-time leader among former Tigers. Clarence Rose held the previous record with seven made cuts in his career that spanned from 1981-2000.

Glover’s round of 71 on Friday included three birdies and two bogeys. He birdied the first two holes and the 10th. He hit his approach on the 10th hole to within a foot of the flag, then made the putt for birdie.

Clemson senior Ben Martin shot an 80 on Friday and missed the cut with a 155 score.
