CLEMSON -- Offensive lineman Woodly Telfort (6-8 330) of Dodge City Community College, KS has committed to Clemson. He selected the Tigers over South Carolina, Southern Mississippi and Florida. “Telfort is a terrific pick up for the offensive line in Clemson's class,” said Plyler. “They needed big bodies and he fits the bill. He is also a talent and is much more attractive to schools because of his experience plus the fact that he has 4 years to play three. His offer list was impressive.” Telfort visited the Tigers on January 10 and also visited South Carolina and Southern Mississippi. He has canceled a trip to Florida. Besides Clemson Telfort had offers from Kansas, Southern Mississippi, Florida, Purdue, Central Florida, Tulane, Kansas State, and Oklahoma. This season he did not allow a sack and was selected second team all conference.

Telfort, a native of Miami, Florida, originally signed with Pittsburgh out of high school but did not qualify. In high school he was three-year starter at offensive tackle and was a three-time All-District selection and two-time All-Conference honoree. His senior year he was named All-South Florida. Clemson assistant Brad Scott recruited Telfort for the Tigers. Telfort is the 18th commitment for the 2003 class. 2003 Reported Commitments 1 QB C.J.
