The 2013 prospect, a 6-6, 228-pounder, has racked up several offers recently, including Louisville, Notre Dame and SMU, but he was excited to pick up offer number thirteen.

“I was talking to coach [Brent] Venables on the phone, and he made the offer,” Bell told TigerNet on Wednesday. “He was talking about how they are a little thin at defensive end and how they need me and what I could possibly play. He said they have a position that is like a hybrid defensive end-linebacker position, and that he could see me there. He also said I could try my hand at tight end, and that is what I want to play, but I will play anywhere.”

In all, Bell has offers from SMU, Notre Dame, FIU, Clemson, West Virginia, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Louisville, Notre Dame, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Florida St. and Vanderbilt, while South Florida and Central Florida are other programs showing interest.

He said getting an offer from the Tigers, however, was special.

“It was pretty cool because they just came off a good season,” he said. “And I also watched their spring game from this past weekend, and I noticed they did pretty good at the defensive end position.”

He told TigerNet that he doesn’t have a leader.

“I really don’t have a favorite. I am going to try and get to Clemson during the summer, and maybe again after the football season. I might even try and get there at some point during the season.”

As a junior, Bell recorded over 40 tackles, 11 sacks, seven tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
