CLEMSON -- This weekend was an important one for the Clemson football program, and the Tigers did not not disappoint with some huge verbal commitments.

JUCO Player of the year Randy Jackson who had been wavering reaffirmed his commitment and could start on the Tiger defensive line next year. Three

more commits came from DB Larry "Buddy" Williams (5-11, 175) Tallahassee, FL, DB Jeff Francoeur (6-4 195) Lilburn, GA, and

OL Dustin Fry (6-2 295) Summerville. Offensive lineman Brad Lee also says he will commit on January 21 to the Tigers.

- 2 LB Anthony Waters (6-3 205) Lake View – Reaffirms commitment

- 3 LB Cory Groover (6-3 250) Hannah Pamplico – Reaffirms commitment

- 5 RB Reggie Merriweather (5-10, 190) North Augusta – Reaffirms commitment, Might take a visit to FL (host: Kyle Browning)

- 16 DB Justin Miller (5-11 180) Owensboro, KY -- Still open between Clemson, Ark, FL, and TN (host: Tye Hill)

- 17 DB Greg Threat (6-1, 171) Tallahassee, FL -- Did not commit. Clemson and MIA are the top two.

- 18 OL Brian Johnson (6-5 295) of Tallahassee -- Did not commit. Update coming this evening.

- 19 DE Gaines Adams (6-6 235) Fork Union Prep – Will decide between Clemson and North Carolina

- 20 WR Kelvin Grant (6-1 195) Camden – Wide open between USC, Clemson and Georgia

- 21 QB Gavin Dickey (6-1 190) Tallahassee – Leaning to Florida over Clemson.

- 22 OL Chris White (6-5 290) Chester – Will decide between Clemson and USC.
