CLEMSON -- After a 34-17 loss to South Carolina, Clemson is ranked 25th by AP and unranked by the USA Today in the polls released on Sunday. Clemson was 15th in the AP poll last week and ranked 16th by USA Today.

This is just the fourth week this year Clemson has been in the top 25 of at least one of the polls, but the 32nd week over the last four years, or since the current seniors came to Clemson. Last week’s number 15 ranking was the highest for the Clemson program since Clemson’s number-nine preseason ranking last year.

Clemson is trying to finish in the top 25 for the fourth consecutive time in an odd numbered year. Clemson finished 22nd in 2003, 21st in 2005 and 21st in 2007. Over the last six years Clemson has finished in the top 25 in each odd numbered year and not in the top 25 in the even numbered years.
