withdrew his pledge to Clemson earlier this month and gave his verbal to the University of Florida, and Easley’s C.J. Fuller told TigerNet this week that he thinks his chances of playing running back at Clemson are better than ever.

Fuller was on hand for Clemson’s spring game this past Saturday, and he said he spoke with the coaches about his opportunity.

“They told me I could play running back,” Fuller said. “We talked a little bit about the running back situation, and it kind of seems like the window opened a little bit.”

Fuller said Clemson is his leader at this point, and he might have a final decision by next month.
Clemson, North Carolina and North Carolina State have verbally offered.

“Clemson is my leader,” he said. “There really isn’t anybody else. I might make my decision after spring practice.”

He also makes it known that running back is his position of choice.

“All of the schools have told me I could play running back,” he said. “That is the position I want to play in college.”

The 3-star recruit said he thoroughly enjoyed Saturday’s visit.

“It went really well. We had a good time,” he said. “I got to talk to the coaches and some of the players, and of course I enjoyed watching the offense. The coaches asked me about school and if everything was going okay.”

Fuller said he hopes to camp at both Clemson and South Carolina this summer

As a junior, Fuller rushed 206 times for 2,088 yards, an average of 10.1 yards per carry average. He also scored 9 touchdowns. Against Wren, he set the Easley school single-game rushing record with 16 carries for 309 yards and four touchdowns.

As a sophomore, he rushed 117 times for 712 yards, a 6.1 yards per carry average, with seven touchdowns.
