Tigers Add Third Offensive Line Commitment |
CLEMSON - More help is on the way for a Tiger offensive line that has been decimated by injuries this season. Parkview offensive lineman Brandon Pilgrim (6-5, 270) from Lilburn, GA, committed to the Tigers during an unofficial visit to Clemson on Saturday.
Pilgrim is a member of one of the best offensive lines in the South, along with fellow Parkview Divison I prospects Zeb McKinzey and David Overmyer. The Parkview three have led their high school to back to back AAAA state championships and are poised for another as they are 10-0 this season. Parkview was also home to Tiger signee and two-time Georgia player of the year Jeff Franceour, who is now currently in the Atlanta Braves farm system. Pilgrim said he had been looking at committing to the Tigers for a while. "I really like the coaches, and the campus is real nice," said Pilgrim. "It's in a small area and everything is close together." According to Pilgrim run blocking is his strength because "I'm very hard nosed." Pilgrim bench presses 405 pounds and squats 495. Pilgrim said this commitment to Clemson will end the recruiting process for him. His one trip will be to Clemson in January. He also has offers from UVA, Northwestern, Arkansas, MTSU and Tulane. Clemson assistant Ron West recruited Pilgrim for the Tigers. 2003 Reported Commitments 1 QB C.J.
