Tigerama 2007: Shakin' the Southland |
CLEMSON ? Blue Key Honor Society is shaking things up with this year?s Tigerama set for 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at Littlejohn Coliseum.
The homecoming tradition kicks off with ?Tailgate Tigerama? on the lawn of Littlejohn at 5:30 p.m., hosted by Blue Key and the Clemson University Alumni Association. This free event will feature entertainment by the Clemson Steel Band, the Rally Cats and more, as well as games and food. Tigerama will feature skits by student organizations, the cheerleaders, the Rally Cats, Tiger Band, a cappella group TigerRoar and the crowning of Miss Homecoming. The emcee for the evening will be Jane Jenkins Herlong, former Miss South Carolina and an avid Clemson fan. Tigerama will conclude with a fireworks show. Blue Key chose the theme ?Shakin? the Southland? because the focus of this year?s pep rally will be to showcase the ways in which Clemson makes an impact throughout the Southeast and the world, said Mary Kathryn Dempsey, a senior from Beaufort majoring in communication studies and marketing director for Tigerama. Tickets are $6 in advance and $8 at the door. Tickets are available on campus at the Hendrix Student Center, the University Union, the athletic ticket office at Memorial Stadium, the Littlejohn Coliseum box office and the Alumni Center. Off campus, tickets are available in downtown Clemson at Mr. Knickerbockers, The Athletic Department and Tiger Sports Shop. Proceeds go to the Tigerama Scholarship Endowment Fund.
