TigerNet Talk #150: Clemson's own Woodrow Dantzler

by -

There are very few players who have reshaped the game of college football. Up until Woodrow Dantzler came along, no one had ever rushed for 1,000 yards and thrown for over 2,000 in the same season. Not in Clemson's history, not in Nebraska's, not in Alabama's, not in Michigan's, no one's.

Soon after Dantzler's quick rise to stardom, the duel threat quarterback became a staple of some systems around the country. I don't mean to say that the Pat White's of the world wouldn't have come along without a guy like Woody. However, his amazing plays on the field certainly didn't hurt other mobile quarterbacks working their way towards FBS level football.

Putting all of his accolades aside, the thing I notice the most from Woodrow is just how humble he is. The guy doesn't realize how revered he is in the Clemson family. Some players make it big on the field and wind up with nothing to show for their amazing talents. We all know Woody made it to the NFL and had some unbelievable plays at the highest level. After hearing this interview it will be clear to you that the best is yet to come for Woodrow Dantzler.

The next time you mention his name stand a little bit taller Tiger fans, because Woodrow Dantzler is a proud member of our Clemson family.
