CLEMSON, SC -- Tickets for the Clemson vs. NC State game this Saturday afternoon at Death Valley are still available, Clemson Ticket Manager Van Hilderbrand said Monday. Sales were brisk on Monday, but there are still tickets remaining for the battle of undefeated ACC teams. Kickoff is slated for 3:30 PM.

Tickets also remain for the October 14th game against Maryland. Television Networks declared a "six-day window" on Monday, allowing the networks to make their selections next Sunday. Thus, Clemson officials won't know the kickoff for that Maryland game until Sunday, October 8th. Tickets to the October 28 game against Georgia Tech are also still available.

This Saturday's game between Clemson and NC State will feature two undefeated teams. The fifth-ranked, Tigers are 5-0, while NC State is 4-0 under new coach Chuck Amato. This is the first game in the 59-year history of Clemson Memorial Stadium in which both teams entered the game undefeated with at least four wins.

Solomon Ranked Among Best Shooting Guards in Nation

CLEMSON, SC--Clemson Guard Will Solomon is ranked among the top eight shooting guards in the nation according to two preseason magazines. Clemson's junior from East Hartford, CT is rated as the third best shooting guard in the nation by Lindy's Preseason Magazine, while Dick Vitale's College Basketball Preview ranks him as the eighth best shooting guard in America.

Solomon was a first-team All-ACC player as a sophomore last year when he led the ACC in scoring with a 20.9 average. He was the first Clemson sophomore in 30 years to be a first-team selection, the first Clemson player in 10 years to make first team, regardless of class.
The Lindy's magazine actually ranks three ACC players as the top three shooting guards in the nation. Maryland junior Juan Dixon, also a first-team selection last year, is ranked first, while North Carolina sophomore Joseph Forte is ranked second. Virginia senior Donald Hand is rated sixth, giving the ACC four of the top six shooting guards in the nation.

Vitale ranks Solomon eighth among shooting guards nationally, but fourth best in the ACC. He lists Forte first, followed by Dixon. He has Wake Forest guard Robert O'Kelley ranked sixth. The noted ESPN analyst lists Duke's Mike Dunleavy as the ninth best shooting guard in the nation, giving the ACC five of the top nine shooting guards in the nation according to Vitale's ranking:
