Clemson, SC--A crowd of over 80,000 is expected for the Clemson vs.
Georgia Tech football game at Clemson Memorial Stadium on Saturday. The contest will kick off at 12:05 PM and will be televised by ESPN. A large crowd is expected, but tickets are still available. General admission adult tickets are $26 apiece, while a special $6 high school ticket also will be available at Gate 11 only. It will be Hall of Fame Day at Clemson and seven former Clemson greats will be honored at halftimel. The list includes former football All-American William Perry, former All-ACC wide receiver Gary Barnes, former golf All-American Kevin Johnson, former baseball All-American Bert Heffernan, former athletic director Bobby Robinson, former head basketball coach Bill Foster and former women's basketball All-American Mary Ann Cubelic. The ticket office at Memorial Stadium will open at 9:00 AM and the gates will open at 10:00 AM. Georgia Tech is expected to bring 4,000 fans. Clemson Assistant Athletic Director and Ticket Manager Van Hilderbrand is urging all fans to come early. Last year when Clemson played North Carolina at a 12:00 noon start, some fans missed the first quarter due to traffic. Spring Sports Awards presented on Saturday Clemson, SC-Spring sports award winners will be presented during pregame ceremonies of the Clemson vs. Georgia Tech game on Saturday. The list of the award winners will include Jamine Moton, an All-American and National Champion in women's track, who will receiver the Frank Howard Award. This award is presented each year for bringing honor to Clemson University. The outstanding male and female scholar athletes will also be announced by the ACC.
