Three Tigers Receive ACC Player of the Week Honors

OFFENSIVE BACK - Chris Weinke. Sr., QB, Florida State

For the sixth time this season, Florida State senior quarterback Chris Weinke
has been named ACC Offensive Back of the Week. Weinke a 6-5, 240-pound senior
from St. Paul, Minn., passed for 353 yards and three touchdowns to lead the third-ranked
Seminoles to a convincing 30-7 victory over fourth-ranked Florida Saturday. Weinke
finished his career as the ACC's all-time passing yardage leader with 9,839 yards
and was third in total offense with 9.473 yards.

OFFENSIVE LINEMAN - Brent Key Sr., OG, Georgia Tech

Georgia Tech guard Brent Key, a 6-4. 290-pound senior from Trussville, Ala.,
was the top performing lineman in the Yellow Jackets' sixth straight win, a
35-22 victory at Maryland. Despite missing much of the week of practice due
to a sprained knee, Key graded 90 percent against the Terps with four domination
blocks. He helped the jackets pile up 547 yards of offense, including 193 yards
rushing, marking Tech's fourth 500-yard effort in the last five games.

DEFENSIVE LINEMAN - Keith Adams, ILB, Clemson

Clemson's Keith Adams had 15 tackles, including two tackles for loss and a caused
fumble, leading the Clemson defense against South Carolina. The 5-11, 220-pound
junior from College Park, Ga., was a key reason South Carolina scored just two
touchdowns in the game. Adams played the entire game even though he was questionable
heading into the contest due to a concussion suffered in practice the previous

DEFENSIVE BACKS - Alex Ardley, CB, Clemson & Tay Cody, CB, Florida

Clemson's Alex Ardley and Florida State's Tay Cody were named Co-Defensive Backs
of the Week. Ardley, a 5-10, 170-pound junior from Tallahassee, Fla., had two
interceptions and seven tackles in Clemson's 16-14 win over South Carolina.
Cody, a 5-11,180-pound senior from Blakely, Ga., also had two interceptions
in Florida State's 30-7 win over Florida. In addition. Cody had five tackles,
two PBUs and 93 yards on the two interception returns

SPECIALIST - Aaron Hunt, Fr, PK, Clemson

Clemson freshman Aaron Hunt kicked three field goals, including a game winning
25 yard field goal with just three seconds left, to help Clemson to its 16-14
win over arch-rival South Carolina. Hunt's field goal was the latest score by
a Clemson player to win a game since 1987 when David Treadwell kicked a field
goal to beat Georgia with two seconds left. Hunt booted field goals of 22, 30
and 25 yards, marking the first time since 1998 that a Clemson player had kicked
three field goals in a game

ROOKIE - Philip Rivers, QB, NC State

For the eighth time this season, NC state freshman quarterback Philip Rivers
has been selected as the ACC Rookie of the week. Rivers, a 6-5, 221-pound freshman
from Athens, Ala., completed 25 of 45 passes against Virginia for 266 yards.
The Virginia game marked the eighth time this season that Rivers has passed
for 200 or more yards. Rivers has thrown for 2,915 yards this season, the second
most yards in a single season in NC State history.
