NFL Player and Clemson Alum Chansi Stuckey to Donate $10 for each Point
Clemson Scores against Duke to Haitian Relief Fund

Clemson, SC – Cleveland Browns’ wide receiver and Clemson alum Chansi Stuckey plans to donate $10 for every point that the Clemson men’s basketball team scores against Duke this weekend to the Red Cross for Haitian relief.

The #16 ranked Clemson Tigers will host the #6 ranked Duke Blue Devils at Little John Coliseum on Saturday night at 9:05 pm ET. The game is being featured as part of ESPN’s College Game Day Series.

“My heart goes out to the people of Haiti right now,” says Stuckey. “I can’t imagine the devastation that they are facing. I hope things get much better for them very soon.”

Stuckey graduated from Clemson in 2006 after a stellar career in which he became the first Clemson player since the forties to score a Touchdown via pass, rush, punt return and reception and first since 1971 to earn All-ACC honors in consecutive seasons. He was also the first player in Clemson history to post consecutive games with multiple touchdown receptions.

Clemson to collect donations for Haiti Relief Fund at men’s basketball game Saturday

CLEMSON — The Clemson University Athletic Department, the Clemson University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and the Clemson University Undergraduate Student Government, in conjunction with the Pickens County Chapter of the American Red Cross, will collect donations to provide to the Haiti Relief Fund at the Clemson vs. Duke men’s basketball game on Saturday, Jan. 23.

The game between the Tigers and the Blue Devils is set to tip off at 9 p.m. Saturday. Volunteers will be stationed in six locations around Littlejohn Coliseum and will collect donations beginning at 7:30 p.m. One-hundred percent of the donations will be provided to the American Red Cross and designated for the Haiti Relief Fund.

Clemson students will have the opportunity to donate using their Tiger 1 card. Tiger 1 card donations will be accepted at the student gate of Littlejohn Coliseum. Check donations should be made payable to Clemson University.

Clemson Athletics has a strict no-solicitation policy in and around athletic events, but due to the nature of the disaster, the decision was made to approve this one-time exemption.
