OFFENSIVE BACKS

Georgia Tech wide receiver Calvin Johnson had a career-best 165 yards receiving, including the two longest touchdown receptions on his career, leading the Yellow Jackets to a 24-7 league win over Virginia last Thursday night. Despite not practicing all week due to a leg injury, the Tyrone, Ga., junior had five catches for 165 yards, including touchdown receptions of 58 and 66 yards.

OFFENSIVE LINE

Wake Forest center Steve Justice played a major role as the Deacons rolled up 240 yards rushing in Saturday’s 27-3 win at Mississippi. The Boardman, Ohio, junior played 56 snaps and graded out at 96 percent, recording five 5 knockdown blocks with zero missed assignments. Wake Forest is 4-0 for the first time since 1987 and is the only team in the country to have defeated four BCS conference opponents.

DEFENSIVE LINE

NC State middle linebacker Pat Lowery had a game-high 10.5 tackles, including an assist on a tackle for loss and broke up one pass in the Wolfpack’s 17-15 come from behind win over No. 20 Boston College. The Mocksville, N.C., senior was in on the biggest tackle of the game when he assisted to stop the Eagles’ Brian Toal for a one-yard loss on 4th-and-2 with 46 seconds left in the game.

DEFENSIVE BACK

Virginia Tech cornerback Victor Harris had his first two collegiate interceptions late in Tech's 29-13 win over Cincinnati. The Highland Springs, Va., product gave the Hokies a nine-point lead with his first interception, returning it 72 yards for a touchdown with 2:01 left to play. On the next series, Harris ended any hope of a Bearcat comeback with another interception. He also had three solo tackles.

SPECIAL TEAMS

In earning the award for the second time this season, Florida State place kicker Gary Cismesia tied for the fourth-longest field goal in school history when he made a career-long 53-yard field goal in Saturday’s 55-7 win over visiting Rice. The Parish, Fla., junior also hit a 32-yarder against the Owls and five-of-six point after touchdowns to give him 11 points in the win.

ROOKIE

Clemson running back C.J. Spiller had 58 yards rushing on 12 carries and scored two touchdowns in Saturday’s 52-7 win over visiting North Carolina. The Lake Butler, Fla., freshman scored on a seven-yard run in the first quarter and on a one-yard run in the third period for his first two rushing touchdowns as a Tiger.
