The Clemson coaching staff hosted several of the 2015 commits as well as many 2016 uncommitted prospects Saturday afternoon and the win showed everyone in attendance that every player is willing to give it his all to get a win – even if it means playing with a torn ACL. Deshaun Watson did just that and caught the attention of every recruit in attendance, especially one four-star defensive end. “I was pumped about how our defense played,” Thomasville (GA) Thomas County defensive end and Clemson commit

Some recruits were able to see the game in person, while others watched from home but they all had something to say about the Tigers ‘dominating performance over the Gamecocks.
“Well, the atmosphere is hard to explain. They’re extremely loud and don’t stop cheering and crazy. It’s just amazing. Clemson went out and balled out. They were hitting on all cylinders and went out there and stopped South Carolina. Then there’s the family atmosphere with the fans coming up to me and telling me to come to there and shaking my hand telling me how great the school is.”
“It was a great game and was a complete game on both ends of the ball. It was great getting the trophy back home.”
“Clemson played a great game. I was proud of them. The atmosphere was second to none – electric, passionate and loud from start to finish.”
“The game was awesome. I loved it. I got so hyped watching the game at home I wish I could've been down there. But I know I’ve got 4 years to help start keeping this streak against USC alive and I can't wait.”
“Awesome, great atmosphere and experience.”
“Thought they played great. It's a great win for them! Shows that they are a lot better with Deshaun Watson.”
“I thought Clemson performed well. Their defense held them well and on offense Artavis Scott and Deshaun Watson went off.”
“It was an awesome game it was great to see the Clemson family live and in action. The whole team came together and worked hard to finish out the game. The defense had a phenomenal game. The offensive line did an amazing job plowing the way! It was an overall great job by the entire team.”
“I felt like after South Carolina scored the first touchdown, Clemson dominated that game hands down. It was a great win for the Tigers.”
“I thought it was a big win for the program. I’m glad we got the monkey off our back. It’s a great time being a Tiger now and in the future. I can’t wait to be able to play with the guys next year and I wish I could have been able to play with the seniors this year. They are a great group of guys and they deserve the win. I just can’t wait to be a Tiger.”
“It was a great win as a team. They played four quarters of football and got back to Clemson football. Everybody did their part to prove they belonged and it was great for the senior class.”
Garrett Williams, 2015 tight end commit, Orlando (FL) First Academy
