Recruiting: Tigers in Top Three for Peach State Tackle |
Earnest Mitchell Defensive tackle Newnan High School (Newnan, Ga.) 6'1, 275 lbs. The Newnan High Cougars finished the season with a 12-2 record and advanced to the state semi-finals. Earnest Mitchell was a big reason why. He tallied 146 tackles, 21 tackles for a loss, and ten sacks. The schools which are recruiting Mitchell and have made offers include Clemson, Florida State, Arkansas, Cincinnati, and Auburn. He currently lists Clemson, Florida State, and Arkansas as his top three schools. "I like Clemson," Mitchell said. "I heard that have a new weight program, and that is something I am really interested in. Plus, with Coach Bowden signing that new contract, I know that he is going to be around for a while." Mitchell will visit Arkansas on January 16th, and Clemson on January 18th. He will visit Florida State on either January 9th or January 24th. Coach Ron West is recruiting Mitchell for the Tigers.
