Recruiting: Tigers in Top Five for Miami Offensive Lineman |
Akeem Robinson Left tackle Carol City High School (Miami, Fla.) 6'4", 255 lbs. Akeem Robinson had 80 pancakes, two tackles, and two fumble recoveries for Carol City, which bounced back after a loss in the sixth week of the season to finish 14-1 and win a state title. Robinson is currently being recruited by Clemson, South Florida, Florida, Miami, and Rutgers, and has received offers from South Florida and Rutgers. He is currently leaning towards Rutgers, but that could change, depending on how his official visits go. "I will visit Clemson on January 9th, and am still considering them," Robinson said. "I am looking at them because of the tradition they have and the tradition they are trying to make. They beat Florida State and if a few things would have gone their way, could have won the ACC title. Clemson is definitely a team on the rise." Robinson will visit South Florida on January 16th, Rutgers on January 23rd, and Florida on January 30th. Coaches from each school have visited Robinson at his home.
