Paul Cianciolo
Quarterback
Fort Dorchester High School (Charleston, SC)
6'4", 220 lbs.

Leading Fort Dorchester to the Big 16 lowerstate finals, Paul Cianciolo
threw for over 3,100 yards, tossing 30 touchdown passes compared to 12
interceptions. He also rushed for seven touchdowns.

Cianciolo will play in next weekend's North/South All-Star game, but is
also focusing on his long term future. He is being recruited by Clemson,
Maryland, UConn, South Carolina, and Penn State, and has received
offers from several I-A and I-AA schools.

Cianciolo committed to Penn State after visiting
Happy Valley last weekend. He attended Clemson's games with Florida
State and South Carolina, and was impressed with what he saw. He said
that the Tigers have backed off their recruiting of him, however, and that
has forced him to look elsewhere.

"I had a good time at Clemson, and thought it was a great school and a
great atmosphere," Cianciolo said. "But I guess they are only taking one
quarterback. And since I haven't heard from them in a while, I guess they
got their guy."

Burton Burns is recruiting Cianciolo for Clemson.
