Recruiting: Spring Valley Lineman Has Tigers in Top Three |
Anthony Davis Defensive end Spring Valley High School (Columbia, SC) 6'6", 235 lbs. Although Spring Valley didn't live up to its own expectations with a 7-6 season, Anthony Davis more than proved himself. He finished the season with over 60 tackles, and registered five sacks. Among the many schools that are recruiting Davis include Clemson, Auburn, Kentucky, North Carolina, N.C. State, Wake Forest, Duke, Vanderbilt, and Memphis. All have made offers. Davis isn't leaning towards any particular school, but has narrowed his list down to Clemson, Wake Forest, and Vanderbilt. "Clemson has a great program," Davis said. "I see a lot of opprotunity to get a great education there and play some good football. With Miami and Virginia Tech coming into the conference next season, things are really going well right now." Davis has already made visits to Wake Forest and Vanderbilt, and will visit Clemson on January 9th. "I want to compare what each of the three schools has to offer," Davis said. "I will probably make my decision shortly after the Clemson visit." Coach Brad Scott is recruiting Davis for the Tigers.
