Recruiting: Lambert Commits to the Tigers

Cory Lambert Offensive Tackle Greenville HS (Greenville, SC) 6-7, 290, 5.0 405lbs bench, 550lbs squat Greenville offensive lineman Cory Lambert committed on Sunday to the Tigers. "I will have a chance to start at Clemson not just redshirt," said Lambert. "I know Clemson. I know it's the place I want to go." Lambert said he will play right tackle for the Tigers. Another factor for his commitment was the style of the offense the Tigers run. "It's the same offense that we run at Greenville," said Lambert. "That was a big factor. I just need to learn the new plays, but not a new system." Lambert said he will still visit Florida State on January 16th and Tennessee on January 23rd, but maintains his commitment to the Tigers is firm. He also has offers from South Carolina, Alabama and North Carolina. Clemson assistant David Blackwell recruited Lambert for the Tigers. Clemson also received a commitment Sunday afternoon from quarterback Tribble Reese (6-3 190) of Mountain Brook, AL. More on his commitment later today.
