Union, SC (Union High School)

Mickey Plyler's #24 Prospect in South Carolina

With National Signing Day less than two weeks away, high school

football players from around the country are starting to dramatically narrow

their choice of schools. After looking at such programs as North Carolina

and Tennessee, Union defensive tackle Byron Bishop has narrowed his

list down to Clemson and South Carolina.

"I was considering the others, but Clemson and South Carolina were

really my best options," Bishop said. "I visited Clemson this past

weekend, and thought it went very well."

"Right now, I am really not leaning towards either school in particular,

but I plan on making my decision sometime this week."

Although he still needs to "straighten a few things out" as far as his

academics, Bishop said those things will be taken care of and he will

qualify to play Division I college football next season.

Coach David Blackwell is recruiting Bishop for the Tigers.
