Recruiting: Bishop Impressed with Clemson Win Over FSU |
Bryon Bishop Defensive Tackle Union, SC (Union HS) 6'4", 290 Bryon Bishop, a 6'4", 290 lb. defensive tackle from Union High School, was one of many area football players who were in attendance for the contest between Clemson and Florida State. And like the tens of thousands in attendance, he was impressed with what he saw. "Clemson came out and played hard, and that was good to see," Bishop said. "I was just happy to be there and see them get that win." Bishop is being recuited by and has received offers from Clemson, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee, but says he won't narrow his list of schools down until it gets closer to National Signing Day. "I really like all four schools," Bishop said. "I think I may know a little more after I start taking my official visits." Bishop likes Coach Tommy Bowden and hopes to see him still at Clemson next season, but said that Bowden's future won't be a deciding factor in his choice. "He is a good coach, and when I met him, I thought he was a cool guy," Bishop said. "But if I really wanted to go to a school, a coach leaving wouldn't change my mind. I would still come to the school, play hard, and do what it took to help my team win." Clemson assistant David Blackwell is recruiting Bishop for the Tigers.
