Bowden lead the Tigers to a 6-6 record and a return to the Peach Bowl.

What is your analysis of this year’s recruiting class?

We pretty much knew how it was going to turn out. When you've talked to
these guys over the course of a year, you pretty much know where they're going to sign. There were several down to the last day and the last hour. There are certain steps that you have to take in building a program. Last year this was not the case. We were done a week earlier. It didn't come down to the wire. The first step is to do this, the next step is to get those players. This year we knocked out Georgia and Tennessee from here. Now we have to go after the old man. Give him some rat poisoning. I would like to get all three of one that got out of here. We have 18 starters coming back. It's not earth shattering if we don't get it done this year. I think the sooner you go head to head and get in the mix, the better. You'll eventually get your share. This program will eventually get its share of those players. We got some pretty good players this year.

What do your scholarship numbers look like now?

We tried to sign across the board. We had 16 scholarships signed 14. We'll either sign some buys late or add the scholarships to next year.

What are your thoughts on how Clemson finished late in the recruiting process?

Nobody got every one they wanted - us included. We're very pleased with who we got. With our needs we signed some really quality players. This size issue was addressed. The speed issue was addressed and the kicking was addressed. So we're very pleased. So, for the program to make the next step, in the final 48 hours, with seven guys on the board, all you need is three of those seven. You would like to get all seven, but all you need is three of them.
