Q&A

Tommy Stiteler is a Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl scout and will be attending the Clemson - Wake Forest game on Saturday.

What games are the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl scouting this weekend?

"Clemson vs Wake Forest, North Carolina vs Maryland, Georgia vs Florida, South Carolina vs Ole Miss and next Thursday we will be at the South Carolina – Arkansas game. Then we will meet again and see what games we will scout next."

What is attractive about Clemson this year?

“Clemson always has had a great fan following and this year is no different. They have a great team with a very colorful quarterback.”

When you scout a team what are you looking for? Fan turnout? Style of play?

“We look to see how many fans are traveling or turnout for sure. I am already very familiar with Clemson and their style of play.“

Would you be interested in a potential Clemson vs South Carolina rematch in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl?

“No. It would have to be some unusual circumstances for that to happen.”

Talk about the change of date with the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl.

“It has moved to Friday, January 2. There are three games on that day. First will be the Cotton Bowl then our game will be at 4:30PM then the Fiesta Bowl will be at 8:30PM. Each game will flow into the next and have the entire nation watching. It will be great for recruiting and publicizing each school.

How has the ACC vs SEC match up worked out for the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl?

"There have been 4 things that have lead to the great success we have had at the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl. The first was getting Chick-Fil-A as our title sponsor. Next was our televeision deal we have with ESPN. And the final piece was getting the match up between the ACC and SEC. The games have been tremendous.

How long does it take you to make a decision on the matchup?

“Maybe two weeks. We work with the other bowls to provide the best game possible for the fans. For example the teams that play in the SEC title game may not want to come to Atlanta again to play in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl."
