Derrick McPhearson WR Fork Union, VA Good trip. Clemson has not made a hard push for him yet. He will continue with upcoming visits to Illinois and Florida. He is also scheduled to visit Virginia Tech but he is not sure if he will make that trip. Demerick Chancellor ATH Miami, FL RUT10/29,TN12/17,CL1/14,NC1/21 Good trip except for the right engine would not start on the plane trip back home. First trip ever to Clemson. "I like it. It's quiet. I don't have to worry about any trouble." Reggie Merriweather was the player host. Tommy Bowden will meet with the family this week in Miami. "I'm firm to Clemson, but I am still going to take my last visit to North Carolina because I promised Coach Sanders a long time ago I would come up there." He will continue with visits to SC and Maryland.Tommy Bowden and USC's Steve Spurrier will be visit him this week. Rendrick Taylor WR Clio, SC CL1/14 Firm Commitment. "That's were I am going to play playing football." "I had lots of fun. Some of the highlights were running down the hill and going into the locker room and getting our jerseys hung up." Chansi Stuckey was the player host. Tyler Grisham WR Birmingham, AL CL1/14 Good visit. Firm Commitment Terrell Smith WR Pelham, AL CL1/14 Good visit. Firm Commitment TJ Williams WR Tallahassee, FL CL1/14 "Visit was great." Firm commitment and will not take any other visits. Player host was Chansi Stuckey. Durell Barry TE Summerville, SC CL1/14 Good visit. Firm Commitment Paul Muse TE Jacksonville,FL CL1/14 Good visit. Firm Commitment Quentez Ruffin OL Tallahassee, FL CL1/14 Good visit and about his commitment he says "It is solid as a rock. Solid as Howard's Rock as a matter of fact." Player host was Cory Groover. "My grandparents actually came up here with me. It was their first time up here. They fell in love with the campus and the atmosphere and the people around it. Everybody just felt at home." He is working with a personal strength coach...625 squat, 420 bench, power cleaning 280, 4.9 flat 40, and 32inch vertical. Will not play any spring sports because they interfere with his lifting. "I plan on coming and trying to take a job next year." Being recruited as a right tackle. "Right now, physically and talent wise I am a little further a long than a lot of the guys they have already..that is what Coach (Brad) Scott said at least." Academics are in good order. Jamarcus Grant OL Mullins, SC CL1/14 Good visit. Firm Commitment and will not take any more visits. Anthony Waters was the player host. Phillip Merling DE Memphis, TN CL1/14 Good visit. Firm Commitment Antwon. Murchison DE S. Pines, NC SC1/7,CL1/14 Good visit. Firm Commitment Hivera Green DE Conway, SC SC1/7,CL1/14,VT1/21 Good visit and Clemson is now the leader. Will visit Virginia Tech and then have a decision. Etta Etta-Tawo DT Powder Springs, GA CL1/14 Firm commitment and will not take any other visits. Player host was Dorell Scott. 32 tackles and 4 tackles for loss in his senior season. Says he also had offers from Oklahoma, Auburn, Kentucky, Stanford, Georgia, Wake Forest, Duke, and Vanderbilt. Being recruited as a defensive tackle. Will major in Engineering or Accounting. Josh Miller LB Manning, SC CL1/14 Good trip and is a firm commitment and says he doesn't think he will take any other visits. "I had a blast. We ate good. It was a nice environment. Everyone made us welcomed." Travis Pugh was his player host. "I talked to Coach Blackwell and the new defensive coordinator. I like the scheme we are going to try to run next year. Hopefully I can get in there and start early." Academics are in good shape. Kalvin Baker LB Columbus, GA CL1/14,FL1/21 Good trip but did not commit. Says he is committed to Florida and is firm to the Gators who he will visit next week. Clemson did not push for a commitment. Kavell Conner DB Midlothian, VA CL1/14 Good trip and is a firm commitment. Originally recruited by John Lovett but now is being recruited by GA Billy Napier. 1295 yards and 25 tds and 78 tackles and 25 tackles for loss in his senior season. David Dunham was the player host. Sadat Chambers DB Pageland, SC CL1/14 Good trip and is now a firm commitment. "It went awesome. I had a great time down there. " Player host was Tramaine Billie. "I am not going to take any other visits. I am staying with Clemson." Being recruited as a strong safety (called cat safety in new scheme). Ramon McElrathbey DB Atlanta, GA ARK12/10,CL1/14 Firm commitment now and will not take any more visits. "(Visit) was wonderful. The people were great." Says he and James Davis will now contact fellow Atlanta prospect Antonio Clay and try to get him to come to Clemson. Haydrian Lewis DB Goose Creek, SC CL1/14 Good visit. Firm Commitment. "It was really fun and the food was good." Player host was Kyle Browning. Academics are in good order. Jamie Robinson DB Rock Hill, SC FSU1/7,CL1/14,VT1/28 Good trip but did not commit. Tye Hill was the player host. Probably will have a decision on signing day. On FSU: "The thing I like the most is the relationship between the players and coaches. I felt real comfortable at Florida State." On Clemson: " The thing I like about Clemson is they seem like a real family group. The coaches and players seem real tight." Coaches from all three schools will visit Robinson this week. Chris Chancellor DB Miami, FL FSU1/7,CL1/14,FL1/21 Good trip but did not commit. He will visit Florida next. He is the #2 corner back on Clemson's board behind Jamie Robinson. Bryant McLaughlin DB Clio, SC CL1/14 Teammate of current commitment Rendrick Taylor. Will have to go the JUCO route. Clemson might place in a Mississippi Junior College. Larry Cox DE Fort Valley, GA CL1/14, GA1/21, FL1/28 Did not visit. Will try to be rescheduled for one of the next two weekends. He would be a sign and place prospect for the Tigers.
