Merling finished with an 88 percent grade in 47 snaps against Wake Forest on Saturday. In the Tigers' 44-10 win, he compiled seven total tackles, including three for loss and two sacks. Merling also registered four quarterback pressures and a broken up pass as the Clemson defense held the Demon Deacons to just 83 yards rushing and 287 overall. Against Wake Forest on Saturday, Buchholz became the first player in Clemson history to make three field goals of at least 45 yards in one game. With field goals of 46, 48 and 52 yards, he also became the first Tiger kicker to make a make a field goal from at least 50 yards in over 10 years. Buchholz also had a good day on kickoffs, allowing the Demon Deacons only 21.4 yards per return as Clemson notched their eighth win of the season.
