Means, Rambert Absent; Rambert to Return

by -

Senior linebacker Harold Means has been missing from the football team since Sunday, according to a Clemson University official. Means, a senior from Spartanburg, has not been in touch with anyone on the coaching staff since

Sunday's fan appreciation day.

Means is listed as the first-team inside linebacker. He started seven games last season and played in all eleven. He made 94 tackles, third on the team behind Chris Jones and Robert Carswell.

Meanwhile, freshman running back Bernard Rambert was at home on Tuesday afternoon, but said that he would be back at Clemson in time for Tuesday night's scrimmage. Rambert would not comment on the reason for his departure. Rambert, from Summerville, said he would talk about his absence

from the team "once I get back and talk to coach Bowden."
