used Kelly’s weekend visit to Clemson to work out their recent Twitter squabble.

Kelly, the 2012 Clemson quarterback commit out of Buffalo, N.Y., was on campus this weekend for his final official visit, and he made sure he spent time with the coaches, current players, prospective players and even sampled some of the local cuisine.

“I had a great time,” Kelly told TigerNet Sunday evening. “I got to spend time with a lot of the players and the coaches. It was good to see everybody, too. I can't wait to get back. I also spent time with the offensive lineman from Michigan – Cameron Dillard. He was pretty cool to talk to.”

He said his favorite part of the weekend was being with the other players – and getting to eat.

“Probably just hanging out with all the kids was my favorite thing,” he said. “But I had never eaten at Zaxby’s, Cookout or Bojangles. Now I can say I’ve eaten at all three.”

The biggest part of the weekend, however, was meeting with current backup quarterback Cole Stoudt and offensive coordinator Chad Morris.

Kelly and Stoudt caused a minor stir this past week, that started when Kelly tweeted, "Your on the bench for a reason. And i come soon! Just letting you know."

Stoudt, as competitive as Kelly, was quick to fire back even though the tweet wasn’t specifically directed at him by name.

"I hate those that talk like their the [expletive] when they haven't done anything yet,” Stoudt tweeted back.

Kelly then let more of his feelings known.

"I'm coming to Clemson to Play my Freshman year I ain't going just to sit on the bench," Kelly said. “Everyday im coming to work and be the best!”

Morris decided to cut off the problem at the sources – Kelly and Stoudt.

“Me and Cole and Coach Morris, we met,” Kelly said. “Everything was alright between me and Cole. We talked about it, and we realize we were just in the moment and everything. We worked it out.”

Stoudt completed 12-of-21 passes for 115 yards this season as he backed up Boyd, while Kelly hit 201-of-330 passes for 3,050 yards, 27 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
