in the second round Friday afternoon.

Jenkins was a first team All-ACC defensive tackle last year when he had 53 tackles, including nine tackles for loss.

Jenkins hails from Clemson and was a graduate of Daniel High School.

He had 166 tackles, 31 tackles for loss, five sacks, 31 quarterback pressures, and a school-record four blocked placekicks in 1,607 snaps over 49 games (38 starts) in his career.

He was a big reason Clemson had a strong defense each of the last four years. He was a three-year starter who started each of the last 35 games he played in; he missed the Presbyterian College game in 2010 with an injury, the only game he missed the last three years, and he is Clemson's career leader in blocked kicks.

He was rated as the #27 defensive tackle in the nation and member of the Rivals 250 by Rivals.com coming out of high school.
