Clemson, SC - Clemson defensive lineman Vontrell Jamison had his appeal to be eligible for the 2005 football season denied by the NCAA on Wednesday. Jamison tore his ACL against Texas A&M on September 18, 2004 and missed the rest of the season. In the three games he played in 2004, he had five tackles and a sack in 62 snaps. He also played in all 13 games in 2003, and recorded 27 tackles and two sacks in 298 snaps. He played two snaps over two games in 2002 on the defensive line, and seven snaps at offensive tackle that year as well.


Jamison will participate in Clemson's pro timing day on March 17 and hopes to pursue a professional career.
